This policy outlines Auto Share’s damage coverage, liability limits, exclusions, and procedures for incidents involving damage, theft, or loss of the vehicle.
- Standard Damage Cover
Included in your Subscription Fee:
- Covers damage to the vehicle, theft, and third-party loss
- A standard Damage Excess of $3,000.00 applies
- Excess may be reduced through optional waiver (if offered)
- When the Excess Applies
You are responsible for paying the Damage Excess if:
- You are involved in an accident
- The vehicle is stolen or vandalised
- Third-party loss or repair costs are incurred
- When the Excess is Waived
Excess may be waived only if:
- You are not at fault (with supporting evidence)
- You provide a completed Incident Report and third-party details
- The other party’s insurer accepts liability
- Exclusions from Damage Cover
Damage Cover is not provided in the following situations:
- If the driver is not an authorised user
- If the vehicle is driven recklessly or illegally
- Damage from use of incorrect fuel or off-road driving
- Tyre or underbody damage unless due to fair wear and tear
- Personal property loss
- Failure to report an incident or provide sufficient evidence
- Claims Procedure
In case of an accident or theft:
- Report the incident to Auto Share within 24 hours
- Submit a completed Incident Report within 7 days
- Provide police report if applicable
- Cooperate with any investigations
- Additional Charges
- A $110 claims administration fee applies to all claims
- Additional cleaning or refuelling fees may apply if required
- Late return fees are calculated daily
